Note for:   Henry A Wilton,   ABT 1775 - ABT 1820         Index

Individual Note:
We believe Henty Wilton, born in England in 1775, came to America and landed in New York. He was married in England with three children, Harry, Richard, and Henry. There is a story that when he did come, his wife refused to board the ship when they reached the ship, and as a result she and the children were left behind in England. This information is from a story by Lenora Wilton. I do not know where she got her information.

Note for:   James Cantwell,   1795 - 1860         Index

Individual Note:
James probably migrated from S.C. through Alabama and Tennessee. We know they were in Arkansas at least from 1828 to 1841 because of the children being born there. In the 1830 census of Pope Co there was a James Cantwell. There was a James Cantwell listed in the 1829 tax records of Crawford Co. They are located in Fannin Co., Tx. in the 1850 census. In 1860, Matilda and 6 children are recorded at Pilot Point, Denton Co. Tx.
